"I will forever be grateful to Seasons Exchange for helping me realize, life is not a destination but a journey and to keep going because life is as beautiful as you are!"
My name is Shohn Liggins and I’d like to share my story about the first time I was introduced to Seasons Exchange. My journey over four years ago started from Sacramento, California where my life had been inflicted with gangs, violence and some extremely trying times for me to just survive one more day.

When I landed here in the DFW area, I had one suitcase filled with panic grabbed last-minute items, and dirty mix-matched clothes. I had lost everything, however, although I was angry at the world, my aunt’s invited me as a volunteer at a Seasons Exchange event.
I had never seen, nor experienced for that matter, the unconditional love, the uplifting speakers presented, the giving of clothing and overall sharing of sisterhood and conversation in one building that changed my life and direction. Again, I had never been exposed to the love, encouragement and overall empowerment for women and their families by a group of women who truly uplift and support you even in your darkest hidden moments that in turn propels you to love yourself, loving others and your family as a whole. The event wasn’t just about the clothes, it yes, made the outside shine, it was more about the love and sisterhood that taught me I wasn’t so different and that began my healing for my inside to shine as well.
I will forever be grateful for Seasons Exchange for helping me realize, life it’s not a destination but a journey and to keep going because life is as beautiful as you are! I take joy in being a part of Seasons Exchange to give back for someone else to receive the same beautiful shine I received over four years ago. -- Shonn Liggins
"Back to School Giveaway" Testimonials:
"We heard about the Back to School giveaway from Herbert Marcus Recreation Center. Receiving school supplies helped tremendously. Living on a small budget is difficult. "Two of my children have participated in the Back to School Giveaway event since my youngest was in Pre-Kindergarten. My oldest is a Junior at W.T White and has also received school supplies.
