In June 2022, we completed our 10th year of On Your Mark Camp. Over the past 10 years some of our camper have complete high school, graduated from higher instructions of learning and become meaningful assets to our society. What we are most proud of is their ability to experience challenges and become life-long learners. Each year the bar is raised and when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we are amazed by their ability to soar.
We launched our study this year with the novel A Boy Called Bat by Elana Arnold. The story gave our campers some insight on autism, how to deal with challenging situations and created a love for animals. Our students were engaged in thoughtful and meaningful discussions where they were able to make connections, think deeper, compare and contrast ideas and think “outside the box.” The book set the tone for Inclusivity, developing friendships, honored individuality and mindfulness.
We would like to thank all of our donors and volunteers who made this year a success. We are making an investment in the lives of our kids. We welcome you to join us to make a difference.
